Compliance & Anti Money Laundering Senior Administrator

About the job 

Key Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting licensed entities in maintaining robust compliance frameworks and fulfilling their AML/CFT obligations. Duties include: 

  • Assisting licensed entities in maintaining and enhancing their regulatory compliance frameworks; 
  • Supporting the collection and review of Due Diligence documentation to ensure ongoing AML/CFT compliance; 
  • Liaising with clients to update personal information and documentation as required; 
  • Ensuring client records and files are accurately maintained and regularly updated; 
  • Assisting with daily client screening and sanctions compliance activities; 
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly compliance and MLRO reports; 
  • Conducting AML customer file reviews and reviewing the work of team members for quality assurance’ 
  • Performing jurisdictional risk assessments on a regular basis; 
  • Analyzing and responding to information requests from the Asset Recovery Bureau (ARB); 
  • Drafting and reviewing internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory alignment; 
  • Assisting in the review and amendment of compliance policies, the Compliance Monitoring Programme, and the Compliance Calendar; 
  • Providing updates on regulatory and legislative developments as needed; 
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of compliance and regulatory filings to relevant authorities; 
  • Providing ad hoc support to team directors on various tasks and projects; 
  • Managing and safeguarding sensitive company data to ensure confidentiality and integrity. 

Experience and Skills: 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with the following experience and capabilities: 

  • 2–3 years of experience in a role related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT); 
  • Solid understanding of AML/CFT legislation and regulatory frameworks; 
  • Proven experience in implementing AML/CFT procedures and conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD); 
  • Familiarity with reporting obligations to regulatory bodies such as the FIAU and MFSA; 
  • Ability to work independently, manage personal and team schedules effectively; 
  • Highly organizedmeticulous, and capable of performing under pressure; 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical approach to challenges; 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
