Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting licensed entities in maintaining robust compliance frameworks and fulfilling their AML/CFT obligations. Duties include:
- Assisting licensed entities in maintaining and enhancing their regulatory compliance frameworks;
- Supporting the collection and review of Due Diligence documentation to ensure ongoing AML/CFT compliance;
- Liaising with clients to update personal information and documentation as required;
- Ensuring client records and files are accurately maintained and regularly updated;
- Assisting with daily client screening and sanctions compliance activities;
- Preparing and submitting quarterly compliance and MLRO reports;
- Conducting AML customer file reviews and reviewing the work of team members for quality assurance’
- Performing jurisdictional risk assessments on a regular basis;
- Analyzing and responding to information requests from the Asset Recovery Bureau (ARB);
- Drafting and reviewing internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory alignment;
- Assisting in the review and amendment of compliance policies, the Compliance Monitoring Programme, and the Compliance Calendar;
- Providing updates on regulatory and legislative developments as needed;
- Supporting the preparation and submission of compliance and regulatory filings to relevant authorities;
- Providing ad hoc support to team directors on various tasks and projects;
- Managing and safeguarding sensitive company data to ensure confidentiality and integrity.
Experience and Skills:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with the following experience and capabilities:
- 2–3 years of experience in a role related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT);
- Solid understanding of AML/CFT legislation and regulatory frameworks;
- Proven experience in implementing AML/CFT procedures and conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD);
- Familiarity with reporting obligations to regulatory bodies such as the FIAU and MFSA;
- Ability to work independently, manage personal and team schedules effectively;
- Highly organized, meticulous, and capable of performing under pressure;
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical approach to challenges;
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
